Terms & Conditions

Quotations
All prices quoted for the purchase of products and/or labour from Period Style Ltd are subject to availability and are valid for 30 days from the date of the written quote or email.

Pricing
All prices displayed on our websites are exclusive of VAT, which is charged at the current UK rate of 20%. Prices displayed online or quoted may be changed at any time by us without prior notice. All goods remain the sole property of Period Style Ltd until paid for in full.

Ordering
Orders can only be accepted upon receipt of full payment. Although the details of an order may be agreed in advance, no work will commence until payment has been received.

Please note that an email confirmation does not constitute acceptance of the order. Period Style Ltd reserves the right to cancel any order prior to delivery.

Processing of payment and acknowledgement of an order do not constitute a legally binding contract. Cast iron radiators are considered bespoke items, built specifically to your requirements. A bespoke item includes any radiator assembled, painted, or finished to customer-specified dimensions or colours. Once work has commenced, the order becomes non-refundable.

Technical Specifications
All our radiators are manufactured and finished by hand at our factory in Filey, North Yorkshire. As such, final dimensions may vary slightly from those quoted. All measurements given in writing or over the phone are for guidance only. We strongly recommend that no pipework, first fix or installation work be carried out until the radiators have been delivered and inspected. Period Style Ltd will not be liable for any losses or damages resulting from pipework installation prior to delivery.

Substitution or Alternate Stock
Period Style Ltd reserves the right to substitute products with equivalent goods of equal or greater value where necessary. Where possible, this will be agreed with the customer before dispatch. All technical specifications are approximate, and reasonable deviations do not constitute grounds for complaint.

Radiator Assembly
All radiators are assembled by hand to your specified dimensions and pressure tested at 8 Bar for 24 hours. After testing, they are coated with a clear lacquer and left to cure before undergoing a final quality inspection. Due to transport limitations, we have a maximum assembled radiator length of approximately 120cm. Radiators exceeding this length will be partially assembled and supplied with an assembly tool (refundable deposit required). All necessary components will be included and explained at the time of order. Radiators of 14 sections or more may include central leg sections; while we aim to position these centrally, we reserve the right to adjust as needed.

Radiator Finishes
Radiators can be supplied in a primed condition if requested, but please note that primer is not a final finish. Coverage may vary and it does not seal against oxidisation. We cannot guarantee the exact colour of primer. Painted finishes (RAL or stock colours) may vary slightly in shade, tone or gloss level depending on batch or monitor display. Clear lacquer is now applied to all finished radiators (excluding primed orders) and provides a protective coating suitable for long-term use. Please be aware that highly polished finishes are labour intensive and may extend quoted lead times.

Delivery and Returns
Deliveries must be signed for (except small postal items that fit through a letterbox). The billing address must also be included on your order. Period Style Ltd aims to deliver all items within 10 working days, though bespoke items may take longer—this will be specified on the relevant product page. High demand may impact lead times.

Cast iron radiators are heavy. Please ensure sufficient manpower is available to unload pallets as delivery drivers are prohibited from manual handling and will deliver to the kerbside only. Delivery charges will be shown at checkout. Delivery services vary depending on your postcode and the contents of your order. We do not deliver to PO Boxes or forwarding agents. Deliveries occur Monday–Friday between 7am and 6pm, with no specific time slot.

While we will always do our best to meet estimated delivery times, Period Style Ltd is not liable for any losses or costs resulting from a missed or delayed delivery. Delayed delivery of bespoke items does not entitle the customer to a refund unless otherwise agreed in writing. Risk passes to the customer upon delivery.

Redelivery Charges
If no one is available to receive the order on the agreed delivery date, a redelivery fee of 50% of the original courier charge will apply.

Storage Costs
We provide an estimated dispatch date within one working day of receiving your order. Completed orders will be stored free of charge for 7 working days. After this, storage charges apply:

  • First additional week: £50

  • Each subsequent week: £10
    All storage fees must be paid before dispatch.

Postage
Only one delivery charge will apply per order. The charge is calculated automatically at checkout based on your selected delivery method and basket contents.

Force Majeure
Period Style Ltd shall not be held liable for delays, non-delivery, or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control.

Returns Policy
We accept returns of non-faulty goods provided they are in a resaleable condition. Accessories such as valves must be returned unopened in their original packaging. Refunds exclude postage unless the item is proven to be faulty. Finishing costs will also be deducted from the refund unless the radiator is confirmed to be defective.

Guarantee
Period Style Ltd guarantees its cast iron radiators for 10 years. The Sovereign range carries an extended 25-year guarantee. Guarantees cover manufacturing defects and exclude:

  • Transit damage not reported within 7 days

  • Defects caused by incorrect installation, misuse, wear and tear, third-party refinishing, or poor system water quality (e.g. corrosion due to lack of inhibitor)

  • Labour or installation costs

  • Consequential damage or losses

Guarantees are non-transferable. Valid proof of purchase is required. The guarantee period begins on the date of delivery to the customer. Period Style Ltd may choose to refund or replace defective items. If no fault is found, return costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Order Summaries & Invoices
It is the customer’s responsibility to check all order summaries and invoices. Any errors must be reported before dispatch. Period Style Ltd will not be liable for unreported discrepancies.

Website Use
By using our websites, you agree to these terms. All website content, including text, images and graphics, remains the intellectual property of Period Style Ltd.

Legal Jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
