Refund policy

Delivery can be to any address as long the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox). Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods. Period Style aim to deliver all items within 10 days - some bespoke items may take longer and this will be detailed on the product pages of this site.

When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.

All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability.

The contents of your order and your delivery postcode area will determine which delivery services you will be offered. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.

All of our deliveries are Kerbside between the hours of 9am and 5pm; we are unable to confirm a time.

Period Style will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Period Style shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.

Postage
You will only pay one delivery charge per order, which will be the highest depending on the contents of your order and your chosen delivery service. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order.

Force Majeure
Period Style shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.

Returns


All items with the exception of bespoke goods are covered by our 30 day satisfaction guarantee.

In the unlikely event that you need to return a product purchased from Period Style then you have 30 days from the day you receive your item to do so. 

 

Goods should be returned to us using a suitable carrier and we recommend using a signed for service. If you would like us to arrange the collection of returns we are happy to do so on your behalf. In this instance the cost of return delivery only will be deducted from the refund amount.

 

The returned goods must be in a resalable state and any goods or accessories that accompany the returned product must also come back to us.

The goods should also be returned with their original box, packing and accessories.

If the return is due to missing or faulty parts then we will offer a full refund or replacement provided we are aware of this within 10 working days.

Any refund, which is due to a fault or other defect, will include a refund of the applicable delivery charge.

This returns policy does not affect your legal rights.

Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. You can cancel an order by following the links on the Period Style website, or by phoning us directly on the above number.

All orders taken before 2pm will be processed and sent for delivery by 5pm the same day.

It remains the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all invoices and order summaries are checked and any inconsistencies or errors are reported to
the office in a timely manner. Period Style Ltd will not be held liable for any errors in invoices or order summaries that have not been reported prior to
dispatch.


Delivery Timescales and Particulars
Once your order is ready for dispatch we will contact you with a confirmed delivery date and to make delivery arrangements - providing you with a 3 hour
time slot for your delivery a minimum of 24 hours before you scheduled delivery date. This time slot is subject to traffic or any other unforeseen
circumstance, Period Style Ltd will not be held liable for any costs incurred as a result of any delay in delivery. We can provide you with an indication of the
delivery date in advance, this will only be an approximate date based on current workloads. A Confirmed date will be provided once your coving products
have been completed. We do aim for delivery to be within 7 - 10 days of placing your order but please be aware that this does fluctuate according to
demand and stock levels.


Your order will be delivered on our own company vans - these are a regular medium wheel based transit van. If you have any access restrictions at your
property please notify the office in advance as failed deliveries are subject to a redelivery charge. If we are delivering to a building site or office suite with
various opening hours please inform the office when placing your order as suitable arrangements may be made. Period Style Ltd will endeavour to meet all
specified delivery requests but will not be held responsible of any failure to meet these either in part or their entirety. Please ensure that the purchaser or
purchaser representative is available on the day of delivery to check the order and sign for the goods delivered. Any goods damaged in transit must be
reported within 14 days of receipt. Period Style Ltd will not be held liable for any damage to items during transit if not reported within the 14 day period,
nor with Period Style Ltd be held liable for any damage sustained after delivery has taken place. Please be aware that if a delivery is scheduled and agreed
and the purchaser is not available (and has not made reasonable alternate arrangements in consultation with Period Style Ltd) we reserve the right to pass
on any re-delivery charges to the purchaser.


Prices quoted by the website are representative of addresses in the UK mainland, other areas that fall outside of the standard delivery cost brackets will be
charges at an additional rate. This increase in cost will be discussed with the purchaser prior to delivery. If outside of the UK please contact the office to
obtain an accurate quote for shipping costs. Period Style Ltd reserves the right to hold or cancel an order until delivery costs have been paid in full.

Returns Policy
Period Style Ltd will accept the return on non-faulty goods so long as the goods are returned in a re-saleable condition, all products must not be cut or
previously hung. The purchaser is responsible for the return of all items, at the purchaser's request we can collect these items which is subject to a
collection charge which is at a cost of £39.50 which is to be paid prior to collection occurring. All returns must be reported within 14 days from point of
receipt. If your item is a Plaster Ceiling Rose or any other accessories, these items must be returned in their original, unopened packaging. A refund on the
product will be given upon receipt of the goods into our warehouse. Period Style Ltd will not issue any refunds for postage or transport costs on orders
returned to us unless they are established to be faulty or defective.


Damaged goods
We take every effort to ensure our items arrive in perfect condition. In the event they do not, please note all damages must be reported within 14 days of
receipt. Please note we send extra coving with all of our orders to cover any slight damages. This is explained upon the delivery note received with each
order. As a standard procedure we will require photographic evidence of the damages. Period Style Ltd will then endeavour to replace these items as soon
as possible. Upon the replacement - all damaged lengths must be returned to the driver and signed for. We are unable to deliver the replacement goods
without collection of the damaged goods on the same day. We will attempt replacement free of charge, any re-delivery attempts on replacements may be
charged to the purchaser. In the event your ceiling rose arrives damaged, please send relevant images to info@periodstyle.co.uk and we will then
endeavour to send a replacement as soon as possible.

All of our Plaster Coving has been handmade using traditional techniques with the finest grade gypsum plaster. Mishandling of the Plaster coving can lead
to faults. In order to ensure that your Plaster Coving remains free from any cracking, chips or breakages, please read this handling and storage sheet
carefully.


Booking Installation
We strongly recommend that no fitting or installation work is booked prior to receiving and inspecting your delivery. We aim to have your order dispatched
within 10 working days - however this may fluctuate depending on demand. We cannot be held responsible for any fees incurred from pre-booking
installers and plasterers or late or delayed deliveries.


Manual Handling Upon Delivery
Please note that Plaster coving is a very fragile item; please ensure that you have read this care sheet thoroughly before handling your product.
Once your Plaster coving has been removed from one of our vehicles the Plaster Coving must be carried horizontally on it's side at all times as illustrated
below. The most common cause of breakage is inappropriate manual handling i.e. lifting the product face up causing the middle to bend and crack.
Always follow HSE guidelines when manually handling any heavy items.

Upon receipt of your ceiling rose, please open the packaging right away - as all of our ceiling roses are made by hand on our workshop in North Yorkshire
there may still be moisture within the product.
If you fail to open your plaster ceiling rose upon receipt this may cause sweating and crumbling due to the excess moisture being withheld in the packaging.
Any claims of damage where this instruction was not carried out will not fall under our warranty or replacement terms. All relevant documentation will be
adhered to the outside of the packaging in each case. All ceiling roses must be stored flat for a minimum of 24 hours in the room it is intended to be hung.
Period Style Ltd do have a fitting guide available - however, please do ask a professional coving/ceiling rose installer if you have any further questions or
queries
