Are your cast iron radiators compatible with modern heating systems?
Yes, all our radiators are fully compatible with modern central heating systems. We also offer electric conversion kits if you're looking for standalone electric radiators.
Can I use your radiators with heat pumps or low-temperature systems?
Absolutely. Many customers using heat pumps choose our radiators. We recommend calculating BTU requirements using ΔT30 or ΔT50 output figures to ensure the right size.
How long does it take to receive a made-to-order radiator?
Lead times vary depending on finish and size. Painted and polished radiators typically take 3–6 weeks. We’ll confirm the estimated delivery date at the time of your order.
What’s included with each radiator?
All radiators are supplied fully assembled, pressure-tested, and primed. Valves, wall stays, and other fittings are sold separately unless otherwise stated.
What’s the difference between metallic, powder-coated, and hand-polished finishes?
Each finish offers a unique appearance:
- Powder coated – durable, even colour coating in a wide range of shades
- Metallic – polished and recoated for shimmering tones and patina
- Hand-polished – bare, mirror-like finish created by manually buffing each section
Do you install the radiators?
We don’t offer installation, but we provide full instructions and are happy to recommend trusted installers.
How do I maintain a polished radiator?
For hand-polished finishes, simply dust or wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals. Our Radiators are lacquered for easier maintenance.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes — we offer nationwide delivery, and international shipping is available upon request.
How will my radiator be delivered?
Orders are delivered via pallet or secure courier service. We only offer a kerb-side delivery service on a day of your choice, the couriers will send an automated text with a 2 hour delivery window once loaded onto a delivery vehicle. Delivery Vehicles range from 18 tonne to 7.5 tonne.
Can I collect my order from your showroom?
Yes, you're welcome to collect your order from our Filey showroom by prior arrangement. Just let us know when placing your order.
Do your cast iron radiators come assembled?
Yes, all of our radiators are delivered fully assembled, pressure-tested, and ready to install — unless they are over **1.2 metres in length**. Due to weight and handling restrictions, radiators longer than 1.2m will need to be assembled on-site using our **sectional joining tool**, which is available to hire. This ensures safe delivery and easier installation, especially where access is limited.
Do I need inhibitor in my system?
Yes — we strongly recommend using a quality central heating inhibitor (like Fernox) to protect against corrosion, limescale and sludge, especially with cast iron.
Can I use your radiators without central heating?
Yes — we offer electric heating elements that allow any radiator to run as a standalone electric unit. These must be filled with water and fitted by a qualified electrician.
Can I plug my electric radiator into a normal socket?
Lower wattage elements (900W) can be plugged in, but larger ones must be hardwired to a fused spur by law. Always consult an electrician.
